An original World War One medal pair, comprising British War Medal and Victory Medal, original ribbons. Â Named as follows;
L-1476 PTE. A. E. HILDITCH. 16-LRS.
Alfred Hilditch was entitled to a 14 Star trio, having arrived in France on 17 August 1914. I ve not been able to confirm but it s recorded with the medals that Alfred was reported missing in September 1914, but rejoined the Regiment. He was admitted to Boulogne Military Hospital in May 1915 with a Gun Shot Wound to the left knee.
