An original US WW2 era Navy dress tunic. This is the traditional dress uniform of the US Navy, it s origins dating back some 150 years. This example, has the white piping, helping to differentiate it from the Undress Blues, and has a Ruptured Duck patch, for honourable discharge at the end of World War Two. A couple of moth spots, which are pictured but the uniform is named on the label, albeit difficult to make out.
The three cuff stripes denote a rank of Seaman, 1st Class. Furthermore, the red braid on the shoulder denotes the Seaman belonged to the Artificer Branch.
Small size, perhaps 34 -36 chest.
