Excellent quality reproduction insignia for this ghost division . This insignia has been reproduced specifically for Hornbeam Militaria and was created using an original examples and reference materials, from which we have copied the size, material and colouring.
Phantom or ghost divisions were non-existent infantry, airborne and armoured units created to confuse the Germans as to the size and deployment of American forces. In order to further improve the illusion, false radio traffic was generated and these patches were designed and worn.
