A lovely, well presented Blue Patrol tunic, badged for the Dorsetshire Regiment. The dress blues or undress uniforms were originally a semi-formal uniform worn in the late 19th Century. It became known as No.1 Dress after the Second World War. Constructed from wool, the tunic is furnished with;
1. The Dorsetshire Regiment brass buttons,
2. A World War One ribbon rack incorporating 1937 Jubilee Medal.
3. Major s rank insignia on the epaulettes (George V design).
General wear around the edges of the standing collar as they are prone to. Holing to the epaulettes where rank insignia appears to have been installed and then removed (presumably where Captain s pips have been removed to be replaced with the crown).
Not size marked or named, but measured by hand as follows;
Pit to pit – 19 inches
Shoulder seam to cuff – 25 inches
Shoulder to shoulder – 17.5 inches
