An original World War Two medal grouping comprising the 39 Star, Africa Star and 39 War Medal. Complete with box of issue and transmission slip. Medals un-named as issued.
Box is addressed to Mrs E. R. Rodgers, 250 South Moor Road, Brimington Common, Nr. Chesterfield, Derby.
Transmission slip confirms entitlement and shows the medals were awarded posthumously to Gnr. H. Rodgers. Written in pen on the other side is 1502621, his service number.
Harry Rodgers is confirmed on the CWGC website as having served with 16th Battery, Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. He died 28 April 1941 age 22, as the Germans took Greece and has no known grave. He is commemorated on the Athens Memorial.
